We deal in various kinds of disputes between employers and employees. In India there are industrial laws enacted for the protection of work men. In the similar manner employees working under the roll of union and state governments and their instrumentalities are governed by their respective service laws and rules. To deal with the matters relating to service disputes, Central Administrative Tribunal has been established, which deals with the disputes involving the Central Government or its instrumentalities, similarly States Administrative Tribunals have been established in States, to entertain the service matters between the State Governments and its instrumentalities and their employees.
Service disputes of industrial workers are governed by Industrial Disputes Act and to get a dispute referred to a Industrial Court or Tribunal the person must come under the definition of “Workman”.
